HFO-1336mzz(E) has all of the characteristics to be a viable working fluid in waste
heat recovery applications which include both high temperature heat pumps and low
temperature ORC applications.
The E and Z isomers of 1,1,1,3,3,3-hexafluoro-2-butene allow for higher condensing
temperatures than R134a, R1234yf and 1234ze(E) molecules and have a lower GWP
than R245fa. Two different lift temperature analyses show significantly high COPH which helps the economic justification for their use in heat pump applications, several
